” Hello I was wondering if you could do me a favor because I know a lot of people look at your site, I was riding my Harley South on Alpine yesterday around 3:30 or 4 o’clock  one of my saddle bags come off my bike Probably a 1/2 mile North of Harrison Avenue, As soon as it came off I flipped around to pick it up and a car pulled up grabbed the bag and took off, It happened so fast I could not see what kind of car was,  It has ruined my whole weekend.  I will also send a picture of what they look like if you could do this for me I would greatly appreciate it”

Rockford Scanner™: Disabled Person Trapped In A Structure Fire in Loves Park

Just before 4 pm today both LPFD and NPFD were en route to a structure fire call. A stove was on fire inside a residence in the 300 block of Burrwood.

A disabled person was inside and unable to evacuate.  Emergency personnel arrived on scene quickly and was able to get the victim secured and the fire under control. The victim is being looked at by paramedics. Unknown on the severity of the injuries.


Rockford Scanner™: Armed Robbery To A Local Business, High Speed Police Chase

UPDATE: Police lost the suspects near mile marker 57. The vehicle made it all the way into Chicago. It rolled over near 294. It rolled over and landed back onto its wheels and then kept fleeing.

Sources are reporting several officers are at the T-Mobile on Charles st. In the 2400 block of Charles st. They said it appears the business was robbed.

There is a high speed police chase on I-90 EB, the suspects in the chase are believed to be the robbery suspects. (They are wanted for a robbery)

They are described as 2 black males in a Ford, possibly an explorer.

At the time of writing this, police were still chasing the vehicle EB on I-90 at speeds around 90 MPH.

Rockford Scanner™: Fan Reporting 2 Alligators In A Local Spillway

Fan sent us the following photos and said there was 2 alligators in the spillway near  Lathers and Hart in Beloit around 2:30 pm today.

They said they called the police to report them and they said the police were on the way.

Again, it is not confirmed at the time of posting this.  We are awaiting to hear back from officials.

Note: After we posted this, several said it appears to be a possible prank with a remote control alligator heads or alligator head decoys that scare off other wildlife.  So unknown if this is real or a possible prank.

A few years ago an alligator was located in the Rock River near S. Beloit. Officials said they believed an owner had it as a pet and then it got to large and then disposed of it in the Rock River. Officials were able to catch it.


Rockford Scanner™: Victim Shot At A Rockford Club, Police Investigating

We been told the victim was a female.

On Sunday, May 5th, at around 1:35 A.M., a Rockford man was the victim of an Aggravated Battery with a Firearm when he was struck by a gunshot.

It happened at the Aragona Club at 320 Kent in Rockford.

The victim was transported via ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound, and was being held at the hospital for observation.

There was no Suspect description available at the time of this entry. This is an ongoing investigation.

Rockford Scanner™: Rollover Accident With possible Extrication

Sources are reporting a rollover accident in Rockford.

It happened just before 3 AM this morning the American and Sandy Hollow.

A vehicle has rolled over in the nearby ditch. Possible extrication is needed.

Unknown on the severity of the injuries at this time.

The cause of the accident is under investigation

From the HRFD: Saturday night 5-4-19 HRFD Firefighters responded to a 2 vehicle accident with moderate damage and airbag deployment at West Lane and Mitchell Road.
