Rockford Scanner™: Man Crashes His Motorcycle, Charged With DUI

Motorcycle Accident

On 04-28-19, at approximately 1640 hours, deputies along with Dixon Rural Fire/EMS responded to a motorcycle crash with injuries in the 800 block of W. Flagg Rd.
After an investigation was conducted, It was learned that Andrew McCray age 66 of Chana, and Michael McCray age 27 of Ashton were traveling eastbound on Flagg Road operating separate motorcycles when Andrew lost control and crashed in the south ditch.
  Andrew received multiple injuries due to the crash and was transported to KSB Hospital.  Andrew was charged with D.U.I and received addition citations for Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed and Driving on the Shoulder.
Due to Andrew’s injuries he was issued an I-bond with a future court date.
Michael was also charged with D.U.I and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Scene On The East Side, Several Emergency Personnel On Scene

Update #2 from the RPD: On April 29, 2019 around 12:30 PM members of the Rockford Police Department responded to the area of 2200 7th Ave. for several reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers stopped several people in an effort to locate any suspects and/or victims. None of these people were determined to be suspects or victims. Officers located spent bullet casings in the 2200 block of 7th Avenue. Witnesses said two black males were observed shooting at a black car as the car was traveling in the 2200 block of 7th Avenue. No suspects or victims have been identified at this time. This investigation is still ongoing

UPDATE FROM THE RPD: Shots fired at approximately 12:30 pm in the area of 18th St. and 7th Ave. No one hurt. No one in custody.

Sources are reporting a shooting incident on the East side.

It happened around 1 pm today.  Multiple gunshots rang out near 7th ave and 18th st.    We can confirm shots were fired and RPD is investigating.

No suspect information at this time.

Sources are reporting a scene in Rockford.

It happened around 1 am in the 3200 block of Darwood.

Sources said it was a home invasion.
RPD has yet to release information on it.

We been told injuries were reported.
Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

No suspect information.

Update from the RPD:

Sources are reporting a shooting victim in Rockford.

It happened just before 2 am in the 600 block of Score st.  Score st is located in the Orton Keyes housing projects off of Kishwaukee.

The victim is a male in his 20’s.  We been told the injuries are believed to be life threatening, but RPD has yet to confirm this.

The victim was shot at least 6 times.  3 times in the arm, once in the right rib area, once in the hip, once in the stomach.

No suspect information at the time of writing this.

RPD: On 4-29-19 at around 1:50 A.M., Rockford Police responded to the 600 block of Score St in reference to a shooting victim.  Upon arrival, Officers located one male victim in a vehicle who had been struck multiple times by gunfire.  The victim was transported to a local hospital by Rockford Fire with life-threatening injuries.  This is an on-going police investigation.  Anyone with further information are encouraged to contact the Rockford Police Department and/or Crime Stoppers.

Sources are reporting a hit and run near 6th st and 1st ave in Rockford.

Suspect vehicle is described as a White truck that is now missing a front bumper, because they left it at the scene along with their license plate on it.

Unknown on injuries.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a bad rollover accident.

It happened around 4:30 pm near Mcfarland and Rote.

Reports of a vehicle fleeing from someone. When they turned the corner, they rolled over several times. Injuries were being reported. Sounds like the injuries might be serious. They also took out a fire hydrant nearby.
