Flood Warning for
The Rock River At Afton.
* At 4:00 PM Sunday the stage was 9.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to near flood stage after
* Impact...At 9.0 feet...Minor erosional flood damge occurs to
lowland and agricultural land adjacent to the river in the Afton
and Janesville areas.
River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging
locations. The 7 day river forecast takes into account past
precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and predicted
precipitation for the basin. Precipitation is for the next 24 hours
in the future from April through September and for 48 hours in the
future from October through March.
Here are some snowfall reports across northern IL through around 4pm. A pocket of 6-8″+ fell from roughly central DeKalb and northern Kane counties into portions of McHenry county.
All precipitation will likely exit east of the area by midnight. Dry conditions are then expected through at least Monday morning. Some light rain could fall across the north half of the area late Monday afternoon into Monday evening, and far northeast Illinois overnight Monday into Tuesday.
RS Source Samantha Burns sent us the following in regards to her cat missing in the Machesney Park area.
“Please help me find her she got out this morning and hasn’t came back she is only 6 pounds all black with yellow eyes and has a scar on her belly from just being fixed last seen on Minns drive in Machesney park she is very small please help me bring her home please .”
We are announcing the arrest of Daniel T. Blackshear, 26, of Indianapolis, on a charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide in connection to the April 14 shooting at Rooney’s Pub, 65 Portland Ave.
We appreciate the assistance of the U.S. Marshals who took Blackshear into custody yesterday in Indiana.
Our investigation identified Blackshear as the individual who shot a Beloit man just after 1 a.m. April 14.
A 36-year-old Beloit man is in stable condition at a local hospital after he was shot several times inside of Rooney’s Pub, 65 Portland Ave., at 1:02 a.m. today.
We are actively investigating the circumstances that led up to the shooting. Detectives are working to identify the shooter, who fled the area in a dark-colored SUV.
We believe the shooter was acquainted with the victim and is not an ongoing risk to the community. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

Shooting victim at a Beloit Bar
Around 1 am several emergency personnel were dispatched to Rooney’s Pub & Grub at 65 Portland Ave, Beloit, Wi, for a shooting victim.
The victim was reportedly shot inside the bar. The victim was shot 3 times. Unknown on the victims condition.
Suspect is a black male, 25-30, 5’7″-5’8″, thin build, dark blue zipped up hoodie, skinny jeans.
