It happened around 11:05 pm tonight near Arthur and Irving.

Suspect vehicle is a Silver Malibu with heavy tinted windows and a temporary plate.  Last seen eastbound on Halsted near Rockton.

Rockford Scanner™: Serious Accident Involving A Pedestrian in Rockford

Sources are reporting a serious accident in Rockford.

It happened this morning around 5:30 am in the area of Alpine and E State st in Rockford.

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.   Reports are saying the injuries were life threatening.  We been told possible fatal, but the RPD or the Winnebago County Coroner has yet to confirm this.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Found Guilty Of Domestic Battery


Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announces that on April 3rd, 2019, Ananias L. Fayne (D.O.B. 3/21/1990) was found guilty of Domestic Battery after a jury trial in front of the Honorable Judge Debra Schafer.

On February 2nd, 2018, Rockford Police responded to the 4200 Block of Allendale Avenue for a possible domestic incident.

Officers located one female victim, who had been injured. The defendant, Ananias Fayne was also located hiding in the basement of the residence.

Through the course of the investigation, Rockford Police determined that an argument between the defendant and victim became physical.

Fayne battered the victim in multiple locations throughout the home before Officers arrived on the scene.

During the trial, prosecutors introduced evidence of prior acts of domestic violence committed by Fayne in 2011 and 2015.

Domestic Battery was charged as a Class 4 Felony which is punishable by a sentence of 1-3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by two years of Mandatory Supervised Release.

The defendant is eligible for an extended term of 1-6 years in the Department of Corrections because of his prior criminal history.

Fayne is scheduled to be sentenced at 2:30pm on May 16th, 2019, by the Honorable Judge Schafer in Courtroom 467.


Rockford Scanner™: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED For The Local Simulated Aircraft Disaster Drill


Simulated Aircraft Disaster Drill

8:00 am – 12:00 pm
All commercial service airports are required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to conduct a full-scale simulated disaster drill every three years.
RFD will be conducting a simulated aircraft disaster drill on Friday, April 26, 2019.
As part of the exercise, we need up to 100 volunteers to be “victims” of the disaster.  All volunteers will play a vital role in the drill.  We need victims of all ages (juveniles under the age of 16 must have parental consent and be accompanied by an adult).
All approved volunteers must be present at 7:00 a.m. that morning.
The RFD Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Unit, as well as area fire departments, ambulance services, and emergency management agencies will be participating in the drill.
Volunteers will be selected on a first come, first served basis.  Individual information needs to be submitted by Friday,. April 12.  Individuals will need to submit their full name, date of birth and contact information.  A background check is required to gain access to the secure area of the airport.  Once selected, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with details as to time, place, and other pertinent details.

Rockford Scanner™: 5 Injured After A School Bus Hits A Tree In The Parking Lot Of A Local Police Department

This morning  6:55 am, units were dispatched to the parking lot of the Beloit PD for a bus that had hit a fire hydrant and a tree.

Police officers and FD Chief Wright were first on scene and found approximately 20 kids and the driver still on the bus.

Triage was completed and injuries were tended to. Four students and the driver were transported to the hospital.

We would like to thank the Turner School District employees for their rapid response and professionalism to this incident.



Rockford Scanner™: Man Stabbed In Rockford, Woman Has Been Arrested

Sources are reporting a stabbing in Rockford.

On Wednesday night around 8 pm the Rockford Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Greenmount in Rockford in reference to a stabbing.

A man approx. 51 years old was stabbed in the stomach.  The injuries are believed to be non life threatening.

The alleged suspect is 44 year old  Corina Pignato. She was arrested for aggravated battery with a knife and also aggravated domestic battery and is being held in the Winnebago County Jail.
