Rockford Scanner™: Victim Stabbed During A Fight in Forreston




Sources are reporting a stabbing that happened in Forreston in Illinois on Tuesday morning approximately 1:30 A.M..

It happened near the BP gas station in the 300 block of Walnut.

There was a fight that happened and during  the fight a man was stabbed. Officials say the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

No suspect information at this time and no arrests have been made.

Expressway Shooting Investigation Leads to Three Arrests and Multiple Weapon Recoveries

CHICAGO, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) officials announce the arrest of two suspects involved in an expressway shooting on February 4, 2019, on I-57 northbound, south of 127th Street.

On Monday, February 4, 2019, at approximately 4:05 p.m., ISP officers responded to the scene of a shooting at the above location. Three of the four people in the victim vehicle sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to local area hospitals; one victim was transported in critical condition.

The ages and genders of the three victims are as follows: thirty-eight year old male (critical condition), fifteen-year-old male (stable condition), and a twelve-year-old male (stable condition). There was also an eight-year-old female occupant inside the victim vehicle; the eight-year-old occupant did not sustain any gunshot wounds, but was also transported to a local area hospital and is in stable condition.

Through a thorough investigation, ISP Investigators identified two suspects involved in this shooting; Christian Plummer, 23 years old from Markham and Jonathan E. Thompson, 24 years old from Markham.

On March 14, 2019, ISP Investigators executed an arrest warrant and took Plummer into custody without incident. During the execution of a search warrant at Plummer’s home, ISP Investigators seized the following weapons which were illegally in Plummer’s possession; a .223 AR-15 Rifle, a Mac-10, two Rifles, and one Shotgun.

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved three counts of Attempted Murder charges against Plummer; Plummer was also charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon by a Felon. Plummer attended a bond hearing on March 15, 2019, and was ordered to be held with no bond.

On March 19, 2019, ISP Investigators executed an arrest warrant and took Thompson into custody without incident. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved three counts of Attempted Murder charges against Thompson. Thompson is scheduled to attend a bond hearing on March 21, 2019.

Through the course of the investigation, ISP investigators made contact with Jamar Washington, 23 years old from Matteson, on March 19, 2019. During an interview, it was discovered Washington was illegally in possession of a handgun.

ISP Investigators recovered a Glock .357 from Washington’s home. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved one felony charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm against Washington. Washington is scheduled to attend a bond hearing on March 21, 2019. Charges related to this shooting were not filed against Washington.

Sources are reporting a bad accident in Loves Park.

It happened approx. 8 pm on N second st near the Park Lanes.

Reports of 2 vehicles are involved and injuries were being reported.

We been told it looked pretty bad.

The cause of the accident is under investigation

UPDATE: Sources said this is a hit and run. The suspect is described as a White male in Gray shirt and sweats with a cap, that took of running behind Park Lanes

Rockford Scanner™: Elderly Man Sprays Mace At Rockford Restaurant, Small Child Involved




Sources are reporting a scene on the East side.

It happened around 4 pm at the Buffalo Wild Wings on E State st.

An elderly man sprayed mace into a vehicle full of occupants.

A small child was inside the vehicle.

Police were able  to detain at least one person.

Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

Aggravated vehicular hijacking at a Rockford fitness center

On Tuesday, March 19, 2019 approximately 9 PM the Rockford police were dispatched to peak fitness at 4304 E. State St. in reference to an aggravated vehicular hijacking.

When the officers arrived on scene they learned the 20-year-old male victim was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by a male suspect armed with a handgun.

The suspect demanded the victim to get out of his vehicle and the victim complied and then the suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Officers located the vehicle a short time later near Preston and Central and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect fled from the officers at a high rate of speed. The suspect then dumped the vehicle near Loomis and South Main. That is near the laundromat on South Main.

A K-9 unit was able to track the suspect and located him hiding in the 1200 block of S. Church St.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Javari Conley of Rockford. He has been arrested for multiple charges that include aggravated vehicle or hijacking, aggravated unlawful use of the weapon, aggravated fleeing to elude, driving while license suspended, no FOID.

He was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against him are merely accusations he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford business robbed, Police arrested the suspect a short time later




On Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at approximately 4 PM the Rockford police responded to the Dollar Tree at 526 E. Jefferson St. in reference to an armed robbery.

When the Rockford Police Department arrived the officers learn the suspect approached the cashier and applied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect then fled with a small amount of money.

Officers located the man a short distance away walking east bound on Jefferson and took him into custody.

32 years old Charles Hill  from Rockford was arrested for aggravated robbery and retail theft. He was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against him are merely accusations he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sources have told us that ex-head coach for the Rockford Icehogs Ted Dent has been arrested for domestic battery. According to public records, he was arrested for:  Domestic Battery/Bodily Harm  and  Domestic Battery/Physical Contact. He was arrested and his next court date set for 04/16/2019 at 1:30 in courtroom 2. Bail Bond/$1,500.00-10% (Recognizance Bond)

Update: Police have confirmed the victim in this incident is a 14 year old family member. We been told he was being disorderly while being booked in the jail, but officials have yet to confirm that.
