Rain will develop from southwest to northeast across the area from late morning through early this afternoon. Moderate to locally heavy rainfall is possible for a time this afternoon and early this evening, with a few thunderstorms also possible. It will also become windy, with east winds gusting 30-35 mph by afternoon. Winds will shift west this evening, with gusts to 40-45 mph possible overnight into Sunday.
Deep low pressure will move through the area this evening. As the low pulls away from the region tonight, west-southwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph, with gusts to 40 mph at times. Winds will only slowly diminish through the day Sunday. Loose outdoor objects may be blown around, and high profile vehicles may experience some difficulty, especially on north-south roads tonight and Sunday morning.
