A Rockford man faces charges following a violent domestic incident. On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, just after midnight, Rockford Police officers responded to an apartment in the 4200 block of Beach Street for an aggravated battery with a knife call. The 25-year-old female victim was located in the parking lot of Walgreen’s (2525 South Alpine Road) suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Kameron Thrower, was in a domestic relationship with the victim. He was located in the 4100 block of Harrison Avenue and taken into custody.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and authorized the below listed charges against Thrower.

Kameron Thrower, 22, Rockford: Aggravated Battery with a Knife, Aggravated Domestic Battery (2 Counts)

Thrower was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Thrower are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Sources have told us this is the suspect.  RPD has yet to confirm this.


Sources are reporting a stabbing victim in Rockford.

It happened around 12:05 am in the area of S Alpine and Harrison

Female approx. 25 years old was  stabbed in the head and stomach.

Suspect is at an address on Beach st

Victim is laying in the Walgreens parking lot.

We been told this is life threatening injuries.
She is being transported to a local ER. Still alive, but barely

Update: Police put a white male into handcuffs at the nearby carwash. Unknown if he is the suspect. But police have taken one person into custody
