On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, shortly after 5:00 a.m., Rockford Police officers responded to Walgreen’s (2323 Charles Street) in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect, armed with a knife, threatened a 42-year-old female employee and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled from the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5’10”, 170 pounds, wearing a black, hooded jacket with the word “PUMA” written on the sleeves and back, black pants, brown boots, and a black and grey beard. Anyone with information should call Rockford Police at 815-966-2900

Sources are reporting an armed robbery to a business in Rockford.

It happened around 5:10 am this morning at the Walgreens at 2323 Charles st.

Sources told us the suspect robbed the business with a knife and then fled.
