Shooting Victim In Rockford


The shooting victim is a juvenile. The victim was shot multiple times.

#1 Black male around  15 years old, short hair, wearing a blue hoody, dark jeans.
#2 is a black male around  16, wearing a dark hoody and dark pants.
Last seen on Albert ave.  – via sources

Local hospital is on lockdown, probably due to this incident.

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: On Monday, February 18, 2019 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the 2000 block of Mulberry Street in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appear to be life-threatening injuries at this time.

The preliminary investigation suggests an altercation occurred in the middle of the street between the juvenile and three other males when shots were fired. The investigation is active and ongoing.

There is reports of a 2nd shooting scene and victim in the 100 block of Mirriam.

Sources are reporting at least one shooting victim in the area of Mulberry and Mirriam, around 5:35 pm today. We been told there is one confirmed victim, possible multiple victims (not confirmed)

RPD has confirmed a shooting victim.
But no other details are available.

We been told the injuries are life threatening. (Possibly fatal, not confirmed)

No suspect information at this time.
