On January 4, 2019 at approximately 3:30 pm South Beloit Police and Fire Departments responded to the parking lot of the Flying J Truck Stop at 16049 Willowbrook Road for an overdose victim that was not breathing.

While enroute responders were advised that CPR was in-progress. Officer Stephanie Hruska arrived first and administered her Department issued Narcan and assisted with CPR until South Beloit Fire Firefighters Max Rude, Taylor Ramsey and Capt. Gary Brown arrived.

Due to Officer Hruska and the Fire Firefighter’s efforts the 34 year old Milton, Wisconsin resident was revived and was transported to a local hospital and was alert and conscious.

This patient was with two other individuals, one of which was wanted on an arrest warrant and was transported to the Winnebago County Jail.
We also need to commend the dedicated and professional dispatchers who directed the bystanders on the phone to do CPR. Thank you Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department 911 telecommunicators.
