Sources were reporting approx. 10 or more police squad cars working a scene in Rockford on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened at the big white house on the NW corner of Spring Creek and Alpine around 2:30 pm Wednesday afternoon.

Sources told us it was a shooting incident and robbery. As you know the police are encrypted and have yet to release information.

Police have confirmed working an “In Progress Person” call there at that time.

In the past police have labeled the following crimes as “in Progress Person”: Shootings, Stabbings, Robberies, Kidnappings, Deaths, etc…

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Police Investigating An Armed Robbery, Suspects Get Away

Sources are reporting an armed robbery in Rockford.

Rockford police have confirmed the robbery, but have yet to release any information on the incident.

The armed robbery happened around 11:15 pm near Preston and Pierpont.

We been told the victim was injured during the robbery.  The alleged suspects are described as 2 black males wearing dark clothing and armed with a gun. Last seen on foot.  But again, RPD are encrypted and have yet to release any information so we can not confirm it.

Sources are reporting shots fired in Rockford.

It happened around 7:45 pm in the area of Chestnut and Webster

No suspect information.

RPD did not log this call in the call logs.

Unrelated: Rockford Police were investigating another shots fired call on Eagle Drive around 4:20 pm.  We been told there was a possible victim, but RPD has yet to release any information on either of these incidents.

Rockford Scanner™: RFD Battling A Fire At A Rockford Business

Around 1:20 pm today the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched for a fire at a Rockford business.

It happened at G&K Services at 5611 11th st.

A machine inside the business is reported to be on fire.

When the RFD arrived on scene, there was light smoke showing from the roof.  They were able to quickly get the fire under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Single Vehicle Crash

On 01/16/19 at 0015 hours Ogle County Sheriff Deputies come upon a single vehicle crash at Rt 2 and Mud Creek Rd.

Upon investigating the crash, Deputies determined Kendall Pelt age 46 of Mt Morris, failed to reduce speed to avoid and accident and struck the guardrail on Rt 2 east of Mud Creek Rd.

Ogle County Police said that Pelt was arrested for failure to reduce speed, DUI, no valid license, and operating uninsured motor vehicle.

Pelt was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he remained in lieu of bond.

Sources are reporting several emergency personnel in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just before 2 AM this morning.

Sources said this is a shooting incident, we cannot yet confirm this.

Neighbor said they heard gunshots and someone screaming something about someone burglarizing the house.  They are also reporting they heard  other screams of people saying they were shot, just prior to the police arriving on scene.

Rockford police confirm an “in progress person” call at this location but would not provide any other details. In the past police had labeled shooting calls as an in progress person.

Rockford Scanner™: Several Burglaries Reported, One Caught On Security Camera Footage

Sources are reporting another vehicle was robbed in Rockford.  This one happened in the area of Alpine and Brendenwood.  In the security camera footage, you can see an alleged suspect breaking into a vehicle in the driveway. As the suspect is burglarizing the vehicle, occupants of the house are leaving and come out and the alleged suspects flees the scene.

Janesville Police Department advises you to AVOID Location due to a current traffic issue.

A fire near the Recycling Center has closed Blackbridge Rd and will require a detour of traffic for the next 3 hours (approximate.

Suggested detour, take N Parker Dr(HWY 51) to HWY14
