Update: Sounds like several businesses have had bomb threats today
ATF posted this: We are aware of recent bomb threats made in cities around the country & remain in touch w/ our law enforcement partners to provide assistance. As always, we encourage the public to remain vigilant & to report suspicious activities that could represent a threat to public safety.
Ogle County Sheriff: The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating two bomb threats to local establishments and at this time, we have no reason to believe that they are credible. In both instances, the threat was received via email in which money was being demanded. Both bomb threats appear similar to bomb threats being reported nationwide today.
The Rochelle Police Department is investigating an e-mailed bomb threat to Rochelle Community Hospital this afternoon. As seen in other jurisdictions nationally today, we do not believe this to be a credible threat, however all threats of this nature are thoroughly investigated.
We appreciate the professionalism and cooperation of all Rochelle Community Hospital staff today.
