ISP TRAFFIC FATAL CRASH ALERT
The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police

WHAT: 2 Unit Fatal Traffic Crash
WHERE: I-74 Westbound at MP 137
WHEN: 12/5/2018 at 8:32 p.m.
VEHICLES: Unit 1- Blue 2010 Kenworth Truck Tractor Semi-Trailer
Unit 2- School Bus
DRIVERS: Unit 1- Male, 34, Iowa (deceased)
Unit 2- Male, IL
PASSENGER: Unit 2- Charles Crabtree, Male, 72, Normal, IL (deceased)
Unit 2- Male, IL
Unit 2- Eight female passengers, juveniles, IL
PRELIMINARY: Illinois State Police District 6 are currently on scene of a two-unit fatal traffic crash on I-74 westbound at MP 137. Preliminary reports indicate Unit 1 was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on I-74. Unit 2 was traveling westbound at the same location. Unit 1 struck Unit 2 head-on. Unit 2 was loaded with passengers. There is currently one confirmed fatality on the bus.
Due to the traffic crash investigation, westbound lanes are closed at this location. Westbound traffic is being rerouted at Downs, IL. The traffic crash is currently under investigation by Traffic Crash Reconstruction Officers and Commercial Motor Vehicle Officers. Zone 5 Investigations are on scene at local area hospitals.

Three adults were transported via helicopter to area hospitals. All female passengers were transported via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Next of kin notifications are pending for the driver of Unit 1.

Sources are reporting they heard shots being fired and saw a police chase going down N Main st in Rockford.

Unknown if the 2 incidents are related.

Shortly after that, sources were reporting numerous police officers at the Olympic Tavern on N Main.  Unknown if it is related to this, or another scene.

Just before 11 pm tonight, sources were reporting a truck crashed into a pole in Loves Park.

It happened in the area of Windsor and Hollowwood.

Unknown on injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Shooting Victim in Rockford

Sources reporting numerous emergency personnel on scene of a shooting victim in Rockford.

It happened just after 6 pm in the 3300 block of Sun Valley Terrace
(Near North Town Mall)

Reports of at least one person that has been shot near this location.

We been told the injuries are believed to be life threatening, but not confirmed because the encryption.

Again, no suspect information, due to the encryption.





Serious Crash on Kilburn on Rockford’s West Side

CRASH UPDATE: The victim of the accident in the 1000 block of Kilburn sustained non-life-threatening injuries. ComEd will be on scene handling the pole for at least the next hour.


RPD responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Kilburn at approximately 3:30 pm, Wednesday. The vehicle, driven by an elderly male, crashed into a pole. The victim was taken to a hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time. Avoid the area.

The Rockford Police Department advises you to AVOID Kilburn Ave from School St to Auburn St due to a current traffic issue. A vehicle crash near 1000 School St will require a detour of traffic for the next several hours.
 

 





Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested For Giving Fatal Heroin Overdoses

First Degree Reckless Homicide

On 12/4/18 Officers from the Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit were conducting follow up reference overdose investigations that occurred in the city of Janesville. Officers made contact at 609 East Milwaukee St with the suspect of the investigation, Taylor L. Fraunfelder.

Taylor was taken into custody and arrested for First Degree Reckless Homicide, 2 counts of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, 2 counts Delivery of Heroin <3g, and Felony Child Neglect. Taylor admitted to serving the overdoses, and was held at the Rock County Jail where he is currently being held pending his initial court appearance.

Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3:6 Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

RPD labeled this violent call as “Check for well being”

Sources have told us that the men severely beat the victim (Aggravated Battery charge with great bodily harm) RPD said non life threatening injuries. Suspects got away with $95 in cash and a link card.


35 year old Randy Bray and 41 year old Anzio King have been arrested

Both men are now charged two counts each of aggravated battery, residential burglary, home invasion, and armed robbery. King faces additional charges of criminal sexual assault and unlawful restraint.


Sources reporting a group of men broke into a residence and raped a woman in Rockford.  It happened approx. 3 am on Monday morning in the 2200 block of 7th st in Rockford.

The suspects robbed the victim and one of them raped the woman.

The suspects then fled the scene.
