Rockford Scanner™: Two Different House Fire Calls, Still Developing

Around 3:30 PM Several emergency personnel were responding to two different house fire calls.

The first one had been in Loves Park Near Tupelo Rd. LPFD & NPFD Were responding to the scene. Initial reports are saying a dishwasher was on fire inside the residence. The fire was extinguished and the fire department is checking for extensions and ventilating the house. 

The second fire call happened in Rockford near 1319 21st st. Details are very minimal at the time of writing this but there is reports of a house on fire near this location. Several units from the Rockford fire department are in route to the scene.

UPDATE: Valid fire, but the RFD were able to get the situation under control pretty quickly. No injuries have been reported.

Both fire scenes are under investigation

Just before 2 PM several emergency personnel were responding to an automobile accident with injuries

It happened in the area of 11th St. and Harrison

Multiple injuries are being reported and at least two ambulances have been dispatched to the scene

Please avoid the area or expect delays

RS Source  is reporting a hit and run near College ave in Rockford

“Hi just wanted to report to you guys a hit and run that happen on College ave at the stop light. A black male driver with a blue SUV license plate A04558 rear ended my car twice.”

Rockford Scanner™: Automobile accident with injuries, Driver is unconscious



 

Just before 12:30 PM several emergency personnel were responding to an automobile accident with injuries near Cherry Valley

It happened in the area of Harrison and Perryville

A vehicle crashed into the ditch nearby, and a female driver is Unconscious.

RPD Charges a 46 Year Old Rockford Resident with 1st Degree Murder for Stabbing on Fawnridge DR



 

 

 

MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED: A Rockford man is now in custody following a murder on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Shortly before 9:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to a residence in the 3500 block of Fawnridge Drive in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, officers located the resident, a 61-year-old male, suffering from stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. His name is not being released at this time.

Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation, which led them to the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Jerry Saylor. Saylor was taken into custody without incident early Monday morning. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case, and authorized the below listed charge against Saylor.

Jerry Saylor, 46, Rockford: First Degree Murder

The investigation at this time shows that the murder does not appear to be random as the victim and Saylor knew each other.

Saylor was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charge against Saylor is merely an accusation. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

 

 







Rockford Scanner™: Several Shots Fired Incidents, Police Confirm Weapons Violations



Sources reporting several locations that shots were fired in the Rockford area earlier tonight.  RPD confirms “Weapons Violations”  at these locations.

  • 300 block of Oak Knolls ave
  • 715 W State
  • N Main and Elmwood
  • 4200 block of Brendenwood
  • 100 block of Summit
  • 4200 block of Sandy Hollow
  • Windamere Way & Chatsworth

No suspect information in any of these, due to the encryption. Safe to assume all these suspects have not been caught and are possibly still roaming the streets of Rockford still

 







Rockford Scanner™: Fatal Stabbing: Man Stabbed To Death Near Rockford/Loves Park



UPDATE From The Winnebago County Coroner:


Sources reporting the alleged suspect is a white male with a white beard. Police have yet to provide suspect information.
