Update: Not yet confirmed, but sources are reporting this is the alleged suspect in this robbery. The jail confirms that Nickolas Wright was arrested for armed robbery, but police have yet to confirm that it was for this incident.


Sources reporting another armed robbery in Rockford.

This robbery happened near 453 N Springfield ave around 10 pm.

The Mobil gas station was robbed at gunpoint.

Suspect came in and demanded money, then fled.

Suspect is a black male wearing a dark hoody and a white halloween mask armed with a small semi automatic handgun.

Fled northbound from the scene. Police setup a perimeter and used a K-9 to track the suspect, which was unsuccessful.

The suspect is still loose.

ARMED ROBBERY TO CITIZEN
Date: 10/06/2018 8:03 pm
Location: 2325 Wallace St
On 10/6/18 at 8:03 pm, Rockford Police Officers responded to an armed robbery to citizen in the 2300 block of Wallace St. The victim had just parked a car and was approached by the suspect. The suspect struck the victim multiple times in the head with a handgun prior to taking his wallet and keys. The suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspect was described as:

Black male, 6’00”, 185lbs, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a red mask. The suspect was armed with a black handgun.
