Rockford Scanner™: Another Shooting Victim In Rockford, 4th Shooting Victim In Rockford In The Last Couple Of Hours

UPDATE FROM THE RPD: On Wednesday October 3rd, 2018 at approximately 9:47 pm Rockford Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 1500 Birch Ct. reference numerous calls of shots fired.  Upon arrival Rockford Police Officers located a vehicle and 2 residences struck by gunfire.  Numerous shell casings were recovered at the scene.  While Officers were at the scene a victim arrived at a local hospital suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg.  The victim was being treated for a non-life threatening injury and is in stable condition.

Rockford Scanner™: Dirt Bike & Quad Riders Flip Off Police, Then Flee From Police in Rockford

“Approximately 10 minutes ago 6 dirt bikes and two quads all with one person on it came up really fast to the intersection of Broadway and 20th heading west between cars they stopped between me and a blue Impala.

The one of the guys on a quad flipped off the driver of the Impala. The driver of the Impala told that guy to come here everyone peeled off, driver of Impala got back in the car and went to run the red light to go after them. As he did he hit his red and blue lights and they came came on.

All of them fled towards 11th Street on Broadway until they reach the railroad tracks and then they separated going down the railroad tracks and going south on 15th”

“6 dirtbikes 2 quads broadway and 20th st ripping between cars surrounded blue impala flipped off driver driver said come here they took off driver ended up being a cop hit the lights and chased them”

Rockford Scanner™: Apartment fire in Belvidere, Several emergency personnel on scene




Just after 6:30 PM tonight several emergency personnel were responding to an apartment fire in Belvidere

It happened in the area of the 900 block of W. Jackson St.

Sounds like it was quickly under control

Unknown on injuries

The cause of the fire is under investigation

“My wife attends Rockford career college and she needs to have another 14 people to volunteer to have blood drawn, she is about to graduate as a Medical Assistant and she needs this blood drawn before graduation.  Our phone number is 815 509 1146. She needs them by today and tomorrow preferably. She trained already she just needs people,  she is certified and trained. This will also be under watch of professionals.”



Rockford Scanner™: Another Shooting Scene in Rockford, Police Investigating

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: On Wednesday, October 3, 2018 shortly after 2:30 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the 1800 block of Hutchins Avenue for shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned the shooting victim, a 17-year-old male, was already taken to a nearby hospital. The initial investigation shows two suspects were on foot and multiple shots were fired at a vehicle traveling in the area. The victim was a passenger in the vehicle. His injuries are non-life-threatening.

This is an ongoing investigation. No further information is available at this time. If anyone has any information please call Rockford Police at 815-966-2900.

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle hits a bicyclist, Then flees the scene


The area is becoming plagued with hit-and-run accidents these days.

The most recent hit-and-run accident was around 1 PM

A vehicle crashed into a bicyclist and then fled the scene

It happened on Auburn St. in Rockford

Suspect driver was a female with a possible license plate number of V52-9727 or similar

16 hit and run accidents, plus this one in the last 72 hours. Not including this scene.
