“Guy was possibly texting hit us pretty hard  (Rear ended) then we asked him to pull over to get out of the road we thought he may have been drinking!!! He took off!!! Please keep your eyes open for this car!!! Happened at Riverside and Forest Hills at 3:20 this afternoon Sunday Sept 23rd.. Thank you for sharing..”

She was able to snap a photo of the alleged suspect before they fled and called the LPPD right away

UPDATE:

On Sunday, September 23, 2018 the Belvidere Police Department received a 911 call reporting shots fired in the 2300 block of Fairfield Trail, Belvidere, Il 61008. Belvidere Patrol Officers, Belvidere Fire Dept., and Lifeline Ambulance responded to the area.

On arrival, Belvidere officers located a male in his late 20’s with a single gunshot wound to the torso. Belvidere officers and paramedics rendered first aid until Lifeline ambulance arrived on scene and transported the victim to St. Anthony hospital.

Belvidere officers located a handgun and a male suspect at the scene. The scene was secured, and the suspect was transported to the Belvidere Police Department for questioning.

The victim is in stable condition and has been released from the hospital. The incident is still under investigation

Around 9 am this morning, emergency personnel were responding to a bicycle accident with injuries in Rockford.

There is a bicycle accident with injuries near N Second st and Ethel. Near the Sinnissippi area.

Multiple bicyclists have collided near this location.

Sounds like there is a bicycle race near this location, use caution if you are traveling in this area

 







Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Shoot A House In Rockford, Police Investigating

On 9/22/17 at around 8:35 P.M. Rockford Police responded to the 1000 block of N. Day Ave in reference to an aggravated discharge of a firearm investigation.

Officers located one house struck by gunfire.  No one was struck and no injuries were reported from this incident.

This is an on going investigation.  Anyone with information is urged to call the Rockford Police.

It happened in the area of Chestnut and Johnston

There are reports a porch is on fire near this location

Several units from the RFD are en route.

 

 







Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested For Felony Disorderly Conduct, After Falsely Reporting His Vehicle Stolen

Felony Disorderly Conduct

On 09/21/2018 at approximately 3:16 PM, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a stolen vehicle complaint at 4449 W. IL Rte 64.

After investigation, Deputies learned the vehicle was in fact not stolen and the report was false. Deputies then placed Hortencia Jaimes-Carbajal, age 43 of Mt. Morris under arrest for Disorderly Conduct (class 4 felony).

Jaimes-Carbajal was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held pending a court appearance in front of a judge.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Chase in Rockford, Still Developing

Sources are reporting they witnessed a police chase near Auburn and Central.

They heard shots fired in the area, unknown if it is related to the police chase.

They said it sounded like at least two people were shooting at each other.

Then they reported several officers were on scene near Andrews and Miriam with the same vehicle.  Or what appeared to be the same vehicle

They said it appeared the suspects were in custody, but not confirmed.
