Rockford Scanner™: More Shots Ring Out In Rockford, police Investigating

On Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at about 9:19 pm Rockford Police Officers responded to the 2800 block of 18th Street. for calls of shots fired. Upon arrival Officers located a residence which had been struck by gunfire multiple times. No injuries were reported. No suspect information at this time.

Sources reporting more shots rang out in Rockford this evening.

This time the shooting happened near 18th st and Reed.

Police are on scene investigating, and searching for shell casings.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Investigating Another Armed Robbery in Rockford



Sources are reporting another armed robbery in Rockford. 

This robbery happened in the 2700 block of School st 

A citizen was robbed by 2 suspects. 

#1 Black male, wearing black shirt and blue shorts. 

#2 Female black, dreads and wearing a grey shirt. 

Armed with a weapon. 

Last seen southbound on foot.

Just before 5 pm today, several units were responding to a water rescue in the Rock River. 

A subject is reported to be in the Rock River near the Whitman st bridge area. 

Subject is reported to be in the middle of the river on the North side of the bridge

Rockford Scanner™: Caught On Video, Local Police Clear out A Large Crowd At A Gas Station



 

 

 

Around 2 am numerous police officers from the Rockford Police and Winnebago County Sheriff, did some crowd control at a Rockford gas station. 

It happened at the Citgo on Auburn, near the Auburn Manor. 

A large crowd gathered in the parking lot just prior to the police showing up.  

Several police officers swarmed the parking lot and moved everyone along. Some people fled when officers arrived and some officers chased the suspects fleeing. 

No reports of injuries or arrests. 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Officer Involved Accident in Rockford



Around 2 am this morning, there was an officer involved accident scene. 

An officer was traveling westbound on Mulberry when the officer hit a parked vehicle on Mulberry between Alliance and Soper. 

There was a lot of damage to the parked vehicle. The vehicle was parked on the curb. When the officer hit the parked vehicle, the vehicle was pushed up into the yard. 

The officers front bumper was under the trunk of the parked vehicle. 

It did not appear there were any injuries.
