Rockford Scanner™: Another Business In Rockford Has Been Robbed



 

 

CHARGED: Detectives from the Rockford Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit conducted a follow up investigation into the armed robbery at the Circle K (3819 Broadway) that happened on September 6, 2018.

Then, officers learned that a male suspect pointed a gun at the female clerk and demanded money from the registers. The victim complied, and the suspect fled on foot. The victim was not hurt.

The investigation was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office and as a result, charges were authorized and a warrant was obtained for the suspect.

Julian Peralta, 18, Rockford: Armed Robbery

On September 12, Peralta was served with the warrant while in custody on an unrelated charge. His bond is set at $500,000. The charges against Peralta are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.


On 09/06/18 at approximately 12:22 AM Rockford Police were sent to The Circle K at 3819 Broadway to investigate an Armed Robbery to the business.  The store employee stated a masked suspect entered the store and displayed a handgun while demanding cash.

During the robbery the suspect struck the employee in the back with the handgun. The suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash and fled south on foot.

The armed robbery suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front. The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap and had a dark bandanna covering his face.
