Early this morning the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched for a building that partially collapsed in Rockford. 

It happened in the 800 block of S Main. 

The debris from the collapse, landed on the nearby sidewalk and roadway. 

Thankfully no one was injured. 

Unknown why the structure partially collapsed.

Rock Energy Cooperative is reporting a power outage across Rockton and Roscoe area that is affecting around 1,283 costumers or around 32.5%.

They said crews have been notified, but the cause is unknown at this time. There is no estimated time on when it will be restored.

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Victim, Approx 33 Weapons Violations And More Violence in Rockford Recently

Several Sources are reporting at least one person was shot overnight.

Sources reporting the shooting happened in the 100 block of Buckbee.

RPD confirmed an “In Progress Person: Shooting, Stabbing, Robbery” at this location.

There was also reports of a shooting victim in the 1100 block of Broadway, RPD confirmed an Aggravated battery with a firearm.

In the last 72 hours in Rockford there have been approx. 33 weapons violations. The RPD labels their shots fired calls as weapons violations.

As the storms rolled through the area it brought heavy rains to the area.  Several area were reporting some flash flooding.  No injuries have been reported that we are aware of yet.

UPDATE from the village of Winnebago: Water has receded and the roadway is clear.

Elida Street between Runyard and School Streets is flooded at the moment and the street is being blocked off. All other north and south streets are clear of any obstruction. Please modify your route. Through the Village.
