* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Central Ogle County in north central Illinois…
Southwestern Winnebago County in north central Illinois…

* Until 1145 PM CDT

* At 1053 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near German Valley to near Mount Morris to near
Oregon, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near,
Byron around 1105 PM CDT.
Pecatonica around 1110 PM CDT.
Winnebago and Stillman Valley around 1120 PM CDT.
Rockford and Rockford Airport around 1125 PM CDT.
Loves Park around 1145 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Davis
Junction, Leaf River, New Millford and Adeline.


For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Rockford Scanner™: Several Emergency personnel Working A Scene At Martin park in Loves Park



Approx.  5 pm today several police officers from the Loves Park Police, Rockford Park District and also 2 ambulances from Metro were on scene at Martin Park in Loves Park.

That is the park along the Rock River, south of Riverside Bridge.

The emergency personnel were searching two individuals in a White vehicle that was parked along the playground area.

At the time of writing this, it was not yet known what happened due to the encryption.

As of right now, police labeled the call as “Information for police”

As soon as we know more information, we will update this.

There have been several bad accidents reported in the area today.

Two different rollover accidents on Kishwaukee.  One near College and the other near 8th ave.

Head on crash near Broadway near the Eastgate Shopping Center.

Another head on near Latham and Old River.


Rockford Scanner™: Police Arrest A Man For Marijuana And A Gun, in South Beloit

SOUTH BELOIT, IL – On September 1, 2018 at 12:30am South Beloit Police Officers went to 821 Marvin Street to serve a warrant. Officers were allowed entry into the residence by the male and female occupants and took the wanted male into custody. While officers were present in the residence they observed a large quantity of suspected cannabis. The officers recovered almost 3,000 grams of cannabis, over $3,000 of United States Currency and a loaded handgun with its serial number obliterated. This case was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Offices who authorized the following charges:

Arrested: Olander, Jalen M/B 19 years old, 821 Marvin Street, South Beloit

Charges: Armed Violence (Class X Felony)
Violation of the Cannabis Control Act, Possession more than 2,000 grams but not more than 5,000 grams (Class 2 Felony)
Defacing a Firearm (Class 3 Felony)
No Firearm Owners Identification
Winnebago County Failure to Appear Warrant

Olander was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The female occupant was not charged.

The charges against Olander are accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.



Rockford Scanner™: Another Rollover Accident With Injuries, Extrication Needed in Rockford


Just before 3:30 pm today, several emergency personnel were responding to a rollover accident with injuries and extrication is needed to cut at least one person out of the vehicle.

It happened in the area of Kishwaukee and 8th ave.

Note: There was a rollover accident earlier near Kishwaukee and College. Not related to this accident.

There is an accident near this location.

Injuries were being reported.

Extrication is being requested.

Avoid the area or expect long traffic delays

Thunderstorms are expected to redevelop this evening and tonight across far northern Illinois. A tropical, moisture rich air mass will promote efficient and heavy rainfall rates.

Thunderstorms may regenerate or move over areas already impacted by heavy rainfall resulting in flash flooding.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a:

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois, including the following areas, in north central Illinois, Boone, DeKalb, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake IL, and McHenry.
* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Sunday morning
*Repeated rounds of thunderstorms producing very heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding. * Expect rises on area rivers and streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Around 1:30 pm today, several emergency personnel were responding to a rollover accident with possible entrapment

It happened at the area of Kishwaukee and College. 

There is a rollover accident near this intersection. 

Extrication was requested, but cancelled. 

Injuries were reported. At least two ambulances have been dispatched to the scene. 

Avoid this area for awhile, or expect delays

Reports of multiple shots in the area of Broadway and 6th st.
