Rockford Scanner™: Police Investigating Another Home Invasion in Rockford



 

 

 

At approximately 10:20 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to a possible home invasion in the 1900 block of Blaisdell St.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the victim was at home, when (2) black males entered the residence through a rear door of the residence. One of the suspects was armed with a knife, and demanded money from the victim. The suspects obtained an unspecified amount of cash from the victim, and fled the scene.

Both suspects are described as being in their late teens or early 20’s, wearing all black, and having something covering their faces.

Rockford Scanner™: SUV vs Bicycle Accident in Roscoe



Update: RS Fans are saying it was a Red pickup truck that had turned onto Prairie Hill Rd that hit a red bike. There was a large round crack on passenger side windshield. Mountain bike looked badly mangled. 

DELAYED POST:  Several RS fans are reporting of a SUV/Truck vs a Bicycle at McCurry Rd and Willowbrook.  It occurred around 7 am this morning.  Unknown at this time of the condition of the bicyclist.  








Rockford Scanner™: Homeowners Shoot At Home Invasion Suspect in Rockford



 

 

 

Around 2 am this morning, several sources were reporting a large police presence at a scene.

Several emergency personnel were responding to an attempted home invasion in Rockford. It happened on Canon, near Harrison. 

The homeowner fired their gun at the alleged suspect. Also the homeowners dog went after the suspect.

The suspect is a Hispanic male, last seen on foot. 

 

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Victim Viciously Beaten During A Carjacking in Rockford, Suspects Get Away In The Victims Vehicle



 

 

 

Around 11 pm tonight, several emergency personnel wen route to a carjacking in Rockford. 

Suspects viciously beat the victim, then stole the victims vehicle. 

It happened in the area of 2744 11th st in front of the store.

Around 10:45 PM the Rockford fire department were dispatched in reference to an automobile accident.

It happened in the 2900 block of Lepay

a vehicle has crashed into a house near this location.

Injuries are being reported, it is not yet known on the severity of the injuries at the time of writing this.

Around 6:40 pm tonight the Rockford Fire Department were en route to battle a fire at a local gas station. 

It happened near 3730 N Alpine at the Fasmart, by Walmart.

Rockford Scanner™: Teens Arrested And Released To Parents, After A Series Of Vandalism



 

 

 

 Rockton Police have made arrests in a series of home and vehicle spray paint vandalism that occurred in the Pine Croft subdivision on July 28, 2018. 
Arrested were four juveniles ranging in age from 14-15 years old that live in the area. Officers are continuing the investigation to determine if the same four are responsible for damage to mailboxes in the Wright Place Subdivision earlier this summer.
The four were referred to the Juvenile States Attorney’s office for charging. They have been released to parents

Suspect is a male black around 50 years old, 5’10, 180 lbs, black shorts, armed with a knife. Last seen in a white truck 

 








Rockford Scanner™: 5th Alarm MABAS, Several Area Fire Departments Assisting



 

(AP) – Authorities say 15 people were taken to hospitals after an ammonia leak at a Birds Eye food plant in southeastern Wisconsin.

Multiple agencies responded early Sunday to the plant in the Village of Darien.

Authorities say 140 people were working overnight at the factory when alarms and sensors started going off. Ammonia is used at the facility for the freezing and cooling of food.

A hazardous materials team official says 15 people were taken to five area hospitals. New Jersey-based Pinnacle Foods, which owns Birds Eye, said Sunday night that most have been released, while three people remain under observation.

Seventy-five workers were checked at the scene and released. The Janesville Gazette reports authorities suspect a “mechanical malfunction” led to the leak.

Officials say there is no threat to the community.
