Rockford Scanner™: Several Vehicles Broken Into At A Local Park



 

 

 

On 07/14/18 there were 5 reported burglary to motor vehicles during a sporting event at Swanson Park (5444 Swanson Rd).

In all 5 cases the windows were broken and purses were stolen from the vehicle.

Please remove valuables from inside your vehicle or keep them out of sight. Please report any suspicious activity.

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Fire Battling A House Fire, Vehicle Caught On Fire Inside The Garage, Then Caught The Structure On Fire



 

 

 

Just before 8 pm tonight the Rockford Fire Department were battling a house fire in Rockford. 

It happened in the 6500 block of Thomas Parkway

A vehicle caught on fire inside the garage.  It then spread to the structure. 

No reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation

Rockford Scanner™: Pedestrian Hit By A Vehicle, Possible Hit & Run

Around 7:50 pm tonight, several emergency personnel were responding to an accident on the East side. 

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area of 22nd ave and 7th st. 

Injuries are being reported. 

Sounds like this might be a hit and run to a citizen. 

RFD arrived on scene and said they need police.

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Crashes Into A Pole In Loves Park



Details are minimal. 

Around 2 am this morning, several officers were on scene of an auto accident in Loves Park. 

A vehicle has crashed into at least one pole, possibly two utility poles. 

One of the poles was completely down onto the ground. 

It happened on E Riverside, across from Sand Park Pool. 

Unknown on injuries. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation. 








Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Fire Department Battled Another Vacant House Fire Overnight



 

 

 

Rockford Fire Department is battling another vacant house fire. 

Details are minimal. 

There was large flames coming from the 2nd story of a vacant house in the 2700 block of Bildahl on the East side. 

RFD was able to get the fire under control pretty quickly. 

Unknown on injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
