Just before 9:30 pm tonight the Rockford Fire Department were responding to a house fire.  

It happened in the area of 1714 S 5th st

Reports of a house on fire near this location. (Possibly a duplex)

Flames were reported coming from the roof of the building. 

Several units are en route.  Still developing

The driver of a Chevy Corvette lost control of his car and crashed into two other vehicles at the intersection of 251 and Ralston Road.

The Blue Corvette was headed south on  251 around 5:40 p.m. when the driver lost control, veered into a ditch, went airborne and crashed into two vehicles at the intersection, according to the WCSO

The driver of the Corvette was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released pending notification of family.


This evening several emergency personnel were dispatched to a very serious auto accident near Machesney Park.

It happened in the area of 251 and 173. Injuries were being reported. Unconfirmed reports are saying at least one person might have passed away.

The area is shut down to traffic, while emergency personnel investigate this serious accident scene. Avoid the area.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Hits Victim In Head, Then Steals The Victims Truck



 

 

 

Details are minimal due to the encryption. 

This morning a man came out of his residence on N Main in Rockford.

It happened near 3514 N Main. 

While he exited his house a suspect hit the victim in the head. The victim needed medical attention. 

Then the suspect stole the victims truck. 

No suspect information, or vehicle information at this time. 

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Two Stabbing Victims, One Possibly Dead




UPDATE:

Winnebago County Coroners office says 42-year-old Elizabeth Marquez died from multiple stab wounds. 

 

 

On July 6, 2018, at approximately 7: 15 a.m., officers from the Rockford Police Department were called to a residence in the 2700 block of Norway Pine Road. There, they found a 42-year-old female, later identified as Elizabeth Marquez, deceased from apparent stab wounds. The victim’s husband, Noe Marquez, and two juvenile children were also located inside the residence. Noe Marquez was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The two juveniles were unharmed.

Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident. The cause of death for Elizabeth Marquez is unknown at this time. The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy for a later date.

During the course of the investigation detectives were made aware of an incident that occurred at the same residence on Thursday, June 28th, 2018. That information was later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, charges were authorized against Noe Marquez for the June 28th incident. Noe was later lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.

CHARGES: Attempted First Degree Murder
Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon
Aggravated Domestic Battery
BOND: $5 million / 10%

The charges against Noe Marquez are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

This is an on-going investigation and no further details are available at this time.


DEATH INVESTIGATION: On July 6, 2018, at approximately 7:15 a.m., officers were called to the 2700 block of Norway Pine Road. There, they found a 42-year-old female deceased from apparent stab wounds. Her final cause of death is pending an autopsy from the Winnebago County Coroner.

A 50-year-old male victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two children, a seven year old and a 12 year old, were at home at the time but were not harmed.

The incident appears to be domestic related, however, it is an active and ongoing investigation. Further information will be disseminated once it’s available.


One confirmed dead

A woman approx. 42 years old has passed away. A man approx. 50 years old was also stabbed and was being treated by medical personnel.  There were 2 children inside the home. They are approx. 7 and 12 years old. They were not harmed. Police are investigating.  Still developing.


Around 7:20 am this morning several emergency personnel were responding to a stabbing call. 

It happened in the 2700 block of Norway Pine

There are two stabbing victims. 

One of the victims is believed to have passed away.
