There was an explosion noise just before 9 pm in Rockford. 

Calls of an explosion in the area of Dresden ave in Rockford.  Unknown on the exact location at the time of writing this. 

Emergency personnel did find an explosive device and requesting an investigator. It is not yet known the exact location of the explosive device.

 Around 8 PM several emergency personnel were responding to a serious motorcycle accident in Boone County.

There is reports of a serious motorcycle accident near Candlewick in Boone County


The motorcycle was laying in the middle of the roadway, a possible head on collision. But not yet confirmed.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested For Allegedly Robbing A Business

Armed Robbery Arrest

On 7/29/18 at 4:45 pm, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office responded to an Armed Robbery at the BP Gas Station located at 14032 East Route 72, Davis Junction. The investigation revealed a male entered the gas station and while armed with a weapon, stole the cash register drawer. The male was last seen Northbound on Route 251 in a silver vehicle.

On 7/30/18 at 6:40 pm, Ogle County Detectives executed a search warrant to a residence in the 4400 block of 11th Street, Rockford. Items of evidence were located at the residence and in the silver vehicle. As a result of the search warrant, Jourdan R. Mondragon, age 41 of Rockford, was arrested for an outstanding Rockford PD warrant and transported to the Winnebago County Jail.

On 7/31/18 Mondragon was arrested by Ogle County Detectives for Armed Robbery, a Class X Felony. Mondgragon will appear in Ogle County court on 8/1/18. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rockford Police Department during the execution of the search warrant.

Around 5:45 AM several emergency personnel were responding to an automobile accident.

A vehicle has went off the roadway and into a cornfield near the area of I-39 and bypass 20. 

There are reports of the occupants inside the vehicle that are not moving.

Several emergency personnel are in route to the scene.

Around 12:40 AM the Rockford fire department were responding to a possible house fire.

It happened in the 3100 block of 16th St. in Rockford.

Reports of the basement is on fire at the time of writing this.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Around 6 pm tonight, the Rockford Fire Department were en route to a smoke investigation call. 

When they arrived on scene they confirmed thick black smoke coming from a wooded area. 

They went to look for the source of the smoke and found an upside down vehicle that was fully engulfed. 

Unknown if the vehicle is occupied.

Several sources reporting a very serious accident in Winnebago County. 

There has been an accident involving a semi and a truck near 75 & 70 near Durand. 

Injuries were being reported. We have heard the injuries are life threatening but can not yet confirm it.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Investigating Another Home Invasion in Rockford

At approximately 10:20 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to a possible home invasion in the 1900 block of Blaisdell St.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the victim was at home, when (2) black males entered the residence through a rear door of the residence. One of the suspects was armed with a knife, and demanded money from the victim. The suspects obtained an unspecified amount of cash from the victim, and fled the scene.

Both suspects are described as being in their late teens or early 20’s, wearing all black, and having something covering their faces.

Update: RS Fans are saying it was a Red pickup truck that had turned onto Prairie Hill Rd that hit a red bike. There was a large round crack on passenger side windshield. Mountain bike looked badly mangled. 

DELAYED POST:  Several RS fans are reporting of a SUV/Truck vs a Bicycle at McCurry Rd and Willowbrook.  It occurred around 7 am this morning.  Unknown at this time of the condition of the bicyclist.

Around 2 am this morning, several sources were reporting a large police presence at a scene.

Several emergency personnel were responding to an attempted home invasion in Rockford. It happened on Canon, near Harrison. 

The homeowner fired their gun at the alleged suspect. Also the homeowners dog went after the suspect.

The suspect is a Hispanic male, last seen on foot.

Suspects viciously beat the victim, then stole the victims vehicle.

Rockford Scanner™: Teens Arrested And Released To Parents, After A Series Of Vandalism

 Rockton Police have made arrests in a series of home and vehicle spray paint vandalism that occurred in the Pine Croft subdivision on July 28, 2018. 
Arrested were four juveniles ranging in age from 14-15 years old that live in the area. Officers are continuing the investigation to determine if the same four are responsible for damage to mailboxes in the Wright Place Subdivision earlier this summer.
The four were referred to the Juvenile States Attorney’s office for charging. They have been released to parents

(AP) – Authorities say 15 people were taken to hospitals after an ammonia leak at a Birds Eye food plant in southeastern Wisconsin.

Multiple agencies responded early Sunday to the plant in the Village of Darien.

Authorities say 140 people were working overnight at the factory when alarms and sensors started going off. Ammonia is used at the facility for the freezing and cooling of food.

A hazardous materials team official says 15 people were taken to five area hospitals. New Jersey-based Pinnacle Foods, which owns Birds Eye, said Sunday night that most have been released, while three people remain under observation.

Seventy-five workers were checked at the scene and released. The Janesville Gazette reports authorities suspect a “mechanical malfunction” led to the leak.

Officials say there is no threat to the community.
