Rockford Scanner™: Several Area Fire Departments Battle A House Fire In Machesney Park

Around midnight the North Park Fire Department were dispatched for an attic fire. 

It happened in the 800 block of Kingsley in Machesney Park. 

The residents were able to safely escape and no injuries were reported. 

The fire is believed to may have started in the attic area. 

The resident believes it was an electrical issue, because they could hear the buzzing sound of the electricity. They pulled the circuit breakers and still heard the noise. There was smoke inside the house, then they evacuated. 

When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they confirmed smoke was showing and a MABAS (Mutual Aid) was toned out for other area fire departments to assist. 

The Red Cross was called in to help the victims.

Rockford Scanner™: Accident With Injuries Near North Town Mall




 

 

Around midnight emergency personnel were dispatched to North Town Mall, in reference to an auto accident with injuries. 

It appears the vehicle may have crashed into a pole.

The damage on the vehicle look consistent with crashing into a pole. 

There was only one vehicle at the scene. 

Unknown on the severity of the injuries. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

AGGRAVATED DISCHARGE  

On Wednesday June 20th, 2018 at approximately 12:01 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the area of 800 S. Winnebago St. reference calls of shots fired.

Officers located multiple shell casings and a residence struck by gunfire. No one was injured. No suspect information.

Rockford Scanner™: Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Hit By A Vehicle in Rockford, Avoid The Area

On Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at approximately 2:28 a.m., Rockford Police Department officers responded to the area of Highway 20 and S. Main Street for reports of a serious traffic crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a 26 year old Rockford resident was riding his bicycle on east bound Highway 20 just east of the S. Main Street entrance ramp. The involved vehicle was driven by a 36 year old Rockford resident who was also traveling the same direction on Highway 20. The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene. After the collision, the victim was rushed to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The Rockford Police Department Traffic Accident Reconstruction team was deployed and this is an ongoing investigation. There are no further details to be released at this time.


On 6/20/2018, at around 2:30 AM, members of the Rockford Police Department were dispatched to the area of S. Main Street and US Highway 20 for a traffic accident between a passenger car and a bicycle. Officers arrived and located the accident scene on US Highway 20, east of S. Main Street. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. Eastbound US Highway 20 will be closed during the investigation of the accident, so plan your travel accordingly.   No further information is available at this time.

You want to avoid the Eastbound lanes of the bypass, East of S Main.

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle East of S Main on the bypass, in the Eastbound lanes.

The driver stayed on scene.

The pedestrian is suffering from life threatening injuries and has been transported to a nearby hospital.

Medical was also needed for the driver of the vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a Green colored vehicle, possibly a Hyundai.

Police have the Eastbound lanes of traffic blocked off, at S Main. Westbound lanes were open.

Emergency personnel will be on scene awhile. So avoid the bypass this morning.

Rockford Scanner™: Victim Shot At A Rockford Bar, Several Emergency Personnel On Scene. Still Developing




 

 

Sources were reporting a shooting at a Rockford bar.

It happened at the Two Wheel Inn, at 4433 Auburn St, around midnight. 

Emergency personnel were responding to an “In Progress” call at the bar. 

A short time later, there was a shooting victim over on N Johnston. 

The shooting victim was at Two Wheel Inn, when they were shot and then ran over to N Johnston to seek medical treatment.  Emergency personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital. 

No suspect information at this time. 

All information is preliminary. 


While I was on scene, the RPD did detain a black male at the Citgo Gas Station nearby. The police also searched the vehicle. Unknown if it is related to the incident. 

UPDATE from a source: The man detained in the video, is not related to the Two Wheel Inn shooting. But is a person of interest in another incident.
