Rockford Scanner™: Employees Strike At A Local Business

Sources are reporting there will be an employee strike at the Mid-States Concrete Industries in South Beloit today.

Sources are reporting essentially no opportunity to advance and they want their voices to be heard.

They are reporting they have been negotiating a contract renewal for about a month now and workers would like $1.00 raise in next two years.  And the company is only wanting to raise it to only 40 cents.  Workers also are not allowed to move into different positions or departments unless they would have to quit and reapply to that position. According to sources.

So the employees have choose to go on a strike so their voices can be heard.
