Boone County Sheriffs Office Requesting Public’s Help in Locating Elderly Woman with Allzheimer’s Disease




The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the assistance of the public in locating a missing woman who suffers from severe Alzheimer’s disease.

On June 12, 2018, Kathleen Humphreys, 77 year old female was reported missing by family members. Mrs. Humphreys is described as a while female, 5’06”, 135 lbs., and wearing white plaid pajamas. At approximately 6:30 pm, Mrs. Humphreys left her residence located in the 10000 block of Briarwood Court, Belvidere, driving a white 2007 Buick Lacrosse, bearing Illinois license plates E491480.

If anyone has seen Kathleen Humphreys or the vehicle, they are asked to contact the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at (815)544-2144

Multiple RS fans are reporting the traffic lights are completely out on State St from Bienterra to Trainer. Please avoid the area as traffic is really starting to back up.

The Rockford Police have been contacted and are aware of the situation but said they won’t be sending out anyone.

Again, please avoid the area if possible and remember treat the out stop lights like a four way stop.

A source sent us the following:
” Hi. Can you please inform everyone that someone is going around breaking into house on Lincoln ave. Our house was broken into this morning the cops came out and took pics of the damage but the person or person weren’t caught.. We have to watch for camera footage to get back in. I just want the word to get out so whoever did it can know that they will prosecuted when found.”

A vehicle has crashed near the T-Moble store on West ln in Machesney Park.

Unknown on injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Sources reporting several police officers on Maple ave this morning.

At least 5 different police vehicles on the scene, via the photos.

Unknown exactly what happened at this time.

Unknown if it is related or not, but there was a violent crime call on Venus overnight.



Rockford Scanner™: BREAKING NEWS: Search & Rescue In Belvidere



BREAKING: Around 2 pm today several emergency personnel were on scene of a search and rescue in Belvidere.

It happened in the area of 2324 Lake Shore, in Belvidere

They toned out a MABAS water rescue, for divers only.

They currently have a search and rescue operation on going.

Several emergency personnel from all over the area are en route to assist.

It is not yet known what the missing person looks like.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Fire Department Battling Another Vacant House Fire On The East Side




 Around 5:30 am this morning the Rockford Fire Department were battling another vacant structure fire. 

This happened near 3014 10th st on Rockford’s East side. 

A passerby noticed smoke coming from the residence and called emergency personnel. 

RFD arrived on scene and confirmed smoke was showing. They laid a booster line and entered the building. 

A short time later they did an emergency tone and told all the firefighters to evacuate the building.

Rockford Scanner™: Local Police Investigating Another Home Invasion

At approximately 8:35 pm on Monday June 11, 2018 Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Bohm Court reference a complaint of a Home Invasion.

Upon arrival Officers met with the victim who advised they were met at their door by the suspect who was armed with a handgun. The suspect made his way into the residence and ransacked the residence. The suspect fled the residence on foot south bound. The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as a white male, 20’s, shaved hair, dark hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, armed with a dark colored revolver.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Shoots At Passing Vehicle in Rockford. Vehicle Struck Multiple Times. RPD Investigating

At approximately 8:09 pm on Monday June 11,2018 Officers were sent to the area of 200 Brendenwood Terrace reference multiple calls of shots fired.

Upon arrival Officers located several spent shell casings.  Officers learned a vehicle was east bound on Brendenwood Terrace. when an occupant in the suspect vehicle fired multiple times at the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect vehicle fled west bound. The victim’s vehicle was struck multiple times.  Occupants of the victim’s vehicle were not injured.

Suspect vehicle was described as a dark colored SUV.

Suspect was described as a black male, 25-30 years of age, short hair.

Rockford Scanner™: Local Police Officer Charged With Sexual Assault To A Minor

UPDATE 8/22/2018:

U.S. Department of Justice announced this afternoon that Larry Woods, of Beloit, is being charged in federal court with two counts of transporting a minor across state lines with the intent that the minor engage in sexual activity.

Larry Woods, 62, Beloit, Wisconsin, is charged with two counts of transporting a minor across state lines with the intent that the minor engage in sexual activity.  The indictment alleges that he transported a minor from Wisconsin to Illinois on May 4 and 10, 2018.

Woods made an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Madison today.   His trial has been scheduled for February 4, 2019.

If convicted, Woods faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum of life in federal prison.  The charges against him are the result of an investigation by the Beloit Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation.   The prosecution of this case is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Julie Pfluger.



The City of Beloit Police Department announces the arrest of Larry Woods, 62, of Beloit, for the sexual assault of a child. Woods was taken into custody on Saturday, June 9, as part of the investigation.

Information on the sexual assault was brought forward by the child’s mother on Saturday. Detectives and officers immediately gathered information in order to make a swift arrest in this case. This is an active, ongoing investigation.

Woods retired as a patrol officer from the City of Beloit Police Department in 2007.

He has most recently been working as a security guard with the School District of Beloit and the Beloit Public Library. He has been placed on administrative leave from the Beloit Public Library.

“The allegations against a former officer are abhorrent and tarnish the badge that so many men and women are proud to wear,” said Police Chief David B. Zibolski. “Woods’ actions with this child betray the community that he swore to protect. We appreciate the community’s support as we further investigate Woods’ actions.”
