Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Police Asking For The Publics Help To Locate A Man Who Allegedly Beat Up A Woman in Rockford

On Tuesday, May 15th, 2018, shortly after 9:00 p.m. patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to a residence in the 1200 block of North Rockton Avenue in reference to a domestic battery. When they arrive, officers met with an adult female victim who had been battered by the suspect, Kevon Dukes, whom she had a domestic relationship with. Dukes had fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident. The investigation was later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result charges were authorized and warrants were obtained for Dukes on the listed charges. Dukes has yet to be arrested and is still at large.

BOND: $50,000 / 10%

CHARGE: Harassment through Electronic Communication
BOND: $75,000 / 10%

The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigations Bureau (779-500-6551) or Crime Stoppers (815-963-7867).

The charges against Kevon Dukes are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
