Two Vehicle injury Crash

On 05/21/18 at 3:18pm the Ogle County Sheriff’s office, LSR Fired Dept. and Rochelle Fire Dept ambulance responded to a two vehicle injury crash at Rte. 64 and Moore Road.

Investigation by deputies revealed that a westbound Chevrolet Aveo driven by Florence Smith, age 61, of Kings, had stopped waiting to turn left onto Moore Road when it was rear ended by a westbound Mazda 3 driven by Kyle Koziol, age 28, of Davis Junction.

Smith was transported by LSR ambulance to Rochelle Hospital for treatment of her injuries. A juvenile passenger in Smith’s vehicle was transported by Rochelle Ambulance to Rockford Memorial Hospital with significant injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by Ogle County Sheriff’s Office.

 

 





Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Crashes Into A House in Machesney Park, Still Developing





Just after 9 pm tonight emergency personnel were dispatched for an accident in Machesney park.

It happened near 7414 Mildred. 

Reports are saying: A person having a medical issue has drove their vehicle into a house. 

Unknown on injuries at the time of writing this.

Rockford Scanner™: Someone lit All The playground Equipment on Fire At A School in Loves Park





UPDATE:  The LPFD were dispatched to Maple School for a playground on fire.  They said all the equipment was reported to be on fire. (Originally dispatched)

RS fan Shelia said when she drove by there was no fire present, but could smell the smoke.
Another RS fan Tammy said no fire, but it was a medical issue.

Editor Note: The playground is metal, so unknown how the playground can actually catch on fire?

 

 


Around 8:50 pm tonight several emergency personnel were responding to a fire in Loves Park. 

It happened at the Maple Elementary School on Maple ave in Loves Park 

Someone lit all the playground equipment on fire, according to the LPFD dispatcher.

Around 7:40 pm tonight emergency personnel were en route for a violent domestic situation.

A man was beating on a female near 1909 14th st.

Unconfirmed reports are saying there might be a stabbing victim at the location.

Around 4:30 pm today emergency personnel were on scene of an accident with injuries in Rockford. 

It happened in the area of Charles st and Washington. 

Injuries were reported, unknown on the severity of the injuries.

Beloit Scanner:  Around 4:15 pm today, the BPD were en route to the area of Butlin and Virginia.

They are  looking for someone that just attempted a sexual assault against a victim. 

Suspect left running on foot. Maybe somewhere near the school (Aldrich).

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Fire Department battled two structure fires





 

Overnight the Rockford Fire Department battled two structure fires. 

The first one was a garage in the 1500 block of Jackson. 

The second fire was a house in the 2100 block of Magnolia. 

No reports of injuries. Both fires are under investigation.

Armed Robbery to Business

At 6:55am officers responded to Ms. Jill’s Video Poker and Slots in reference to an armed robbery.

Upon arrival officers learned that a black male had entered the business around 6:50am armed with a handgun. 

The suspect demanded money from the clerk.  The suspect then fled from the business. 

No customers were in the business at the time of the robbery.

Suspect was described as follows:

Black Male
5’6 160 lbs
Tan coat and black ski mask

This is an on-going investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rockford Police Department.

Reckless Discharge of Firearm

  • Location: 1000 block 7th St

On 5/22/18 at 0014 hours Officers responded to the 1000 block of 7th St for a report of gunshots fired.  Upon arrival they located a suspect in the area who informed officers he fired a gun into the air.

The Suspect was identified as 21- year-old Wisconsin resident, Tya Ru.

The incident was reviewed with the States Attorney Office, who authorized the following charges:

  • Reckless Discharge of Firearm
  • Unlawful Use of Weapon
  • Driving Under the Influence
