DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. – A fun weekend cornhole tournament turned violent when competitors started throwing punches.

The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual cornhole event Sunday at the Foxhall Resort to raise money for scholarships for deserving students.

Participators and supporters were seen playing the lawn game and enjoying the warm weather before a group of people disagreed about the score.

Moments later, fists started flying and explicit words were exchanged.

It was all caught on camera.

Around 3:40 pm tonight emergency personnel were dispatched for an auto accident with injuries and possible extrication needed. It happened near E state st and Alder. Several injuries are being reported. Possible extrication is being requested. At least 2 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene. Avoid the area or expect delays

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, District 2 patrol officers and officers from the Rockford Police Department’s S.C.O.P.E. Team conducted an undercover human trafficking operation targeting “Johns”.

CHARGES: Solicitation of a Sex Act

The charges against these arrestees are merely accusations and not evidence of their guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases, they are considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.





Rockford Scanner™: Serious Accident With Several Injuries Reported. Avoid The Area





 

On Friday, May 11, 2018, at approximately 1:00 pm, Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Garden Prairie Road north of U.S. Route 20 in Garden Prairie for a two vehicle accident.

Preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle traveling northbound on Garden Prairie Road crossed the centerline striking a vehicle traveling southbound. The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the southbound vehicle was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital with minor injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Boone County Coroner’s Office.

The names of the drivers are not being released at this time

 


Around 1 pm today several emergency personnel were dispatched for a serious accident. 

It happened in the area of Garden Prairie rd near the Camelot School. 

Multiple injuries are being reported. 

At least one person needs to be cut out of the vehicle.
