On Saturday, March 24, 2018, officers from the Rockford Police Department received a report about the sexual assault of a child at a residence in the 1300 block of North Rockton Avenue. The report included information that an adult male, later identified as 36-year-old Daniel Williams, had been sexually assaulting a female family member, who was under the age of 13.
Detectives from the Rockford Police Department conducted a follow-up investigation into the accusations. The investigation was later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, the listed charges were authorized against Williams. He was later lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.
