School Threat Arrest
On the evening of 3/14/18 the Meridian School District contacted the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office and reported a Stillman Valley High School student had made a threat on social media to bring a weapon to school and cause harm.
Sheriff Deputies met with the student, a 17 year old male from Davis Junction, and his parents. The male was told, at the request of the school district, he was not allowed to attend school on 3/15/18 and the male complied.
On 3/15/18 at the conclusion of the investigation the male was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Ogle County Jail.
The male was later released to the custody of a parent and will appear in juvenile court at a later date. The Sheriff’s Office would like to commend the students of the Stillman Valley High School that brought this threat to the attention of staff members.
