From Rockford Police Department
ROCKFORD, Ill. – On Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., officers of the Rockford Police Department responded to the 200 block of Washington Street in reference to multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned Jerome Davidson had been driving a vehicle in the immediate area when an occupant of another vehicle began shooting at Davidson. Davidson’s vehicle was subsequently stuck by gunfire and damaged. Davidson was uncooperative with officers regarding the shooting.
During the course of the investigation officers located drug equipment and ammunition inside Davidson’s vehicle. As a result of the investigation officers arrested Davidson for Violation of the Firearm Owner’s Identification Card Act and Possession of Drug Equipment.
ARRESTED: Davidson, Jerome D., 18 years old, Rockford, IL.
CHARGES: Violation of Firearm Owner’s ID Act (No FOID)
Possession of Drug Equipment

The charges against Davidson are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases, Davidson is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
