For the past several months detectives from the Rockford Police Department’s Sensitive Crimes Unit have been investigating a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a residence in the 700 block of Cunningham Street. The victim in the incident was under the age of 13 at the time of the assault.
The investigation has been reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, charges were authorized and a warrant has been obtained for the suspect, 30-year-old Saul Colin-Rivera, for the listed charges. Colin-Rivera has not been served with the warrant and is currently at large. A photo of Colin-Rivera is not available at this time.

BOND: $250,000 / 10%
The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Colin-Rivera. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigations Bureau (779-500-6551) or Crime Stoppers (815-963-7867).
The charges against Colin-Rivera are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases Colin-Rivera is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
