From the RPD:
In April of 2017 detectives from the Rockford Police Department Financial & Property Crimes Unit began investigating a deceptive practices complaint involving a 77-year-old male victim. During the investigation the suspect was identified as 47-year-old Anita White, who had been involved in a domestic relationship with the victim.
The investigation was later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, charges were authorized and a warrant was obtained for White. On Wednesday, December 20, 2017, detectives located White in the 2400 block of North Rockton Avenue where she was taken into custody without incident. White was then lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. A photo of White is attached.
ARRESTED: Anita White 47-years-old Rockford, IL CHARGES: Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person (2)
BOND: $10,000 / 10%
The charges against White are merely accusations and not evidence of her guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases White is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
No further details are available at this time due to the nature of the incident and the domestic relationship between White and the victim.
