From the Rockford Police Department:
ROCKFORD, Ill. – During the month of November the Rockford Police Department received several complaints of drug dealing in and around the 2200 Pendleton Parkway. On November 29th, 2017 detectives with the Rockford Police Narcotics Unit located and arrested Michael Phillips.
During the investigation detectives were able to recover cocaine, cannabis and United States Currency. The investigation against Phillips was reviewed with the Winnebago County State Attorney’s Office and the following charges were authorized:
Michael Phillips, age 31, of Rockford
Charges: Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine within 1000 feet of a Church
Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis
Phillips was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail in lieu of bond.
The charges against Phillips are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases Phillips is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
