From the RPD;
On Monday, October 2, 2017 at approximately 12:40 p.m., officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the 2200 block of 11th Street regarding a report of a wanted subject inside a vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Officers ceased pursuit of the vehicle. A short time later, officers found the vehicle crashed into the creek near the Kent Creek bridge. Officers located two occupants of the vehicle and took them into custody. Both occupants were transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
ARRESTED: Johnathan L. Washington, 28
CHARGES: Aggravated Fleeing
Suspended Driver’s License
ARRESTED: Pierre S. Watson, 24
CHARGES: Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance 1-15 grams, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis 30-500 grams
The charges against Washington and Watson are merely accusations and not evidence of their guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases Washington and Watson are considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
