On Thursday, September 28, 2017, shortly after 8:00 p.m. patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to Dollar General, 1405 Kishwaukee Street, in reference to an armed robbery. When they arrived officers learned that a black male suspect had entered the store while armed with an unknown type handgun. The suspect then demanded money from one of the cashiers. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of currency before he fled the store on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
Photos of the suspect taken from the store’s surveillance cameras are attached. The suspect was described by witnesses as follows:
SUSPECT: Black Male, late 30’s to early 40’s, 5’7 to 6’0 tall, Medium Build, Gray Hooded Sweatshirt / Blue Flannel Jacket / Blue Jeans
The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect’s identity is asked to contact the Investigations Bureau (779-500-6551) or Crime Stoppers (815-963-7867).

On 9-28-17 at 8:08pm officers responded to 1405 Kishwaukee St, Dollar General Store, for an Armed Robbery to the business. A male subject entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The subject obtained an undetermined amount of United States Currency then fled the store on foot.
The subject is described as a male, in his 40s, 5’10”-6’0″ tall,180-200 pounds with a goatee. No one was injured during the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rockford Police or Winnebago County Crime Stoppers

Suspect is a mixed race male around 40 years old, 6’0, goatee, last seen northbound.
