Below is a photo of a recent day for “Weapons Violations” in Rockford,
The Rockford Police Department announced today that it will implement and publish its own 72-hour dispatch call log. The announcement comes after the department received word from the State that its data.illinois.gov website may be offline indefinitely while the site undergoes a complete refresh.
The department issued 72-hour dispatch call log will be refreshed hourly and will note calls dispatched within the previous hour. Calls that will be suppressed from the list include sexual assaults, domestics, sensitive juvenile offenses, and child abductions.
The call log reflects real-time reports, as determined by the caller, to the dispatch center. Once reports are received, calls are prioritized and officers are dispatched accordingly. Upon investigation, initial classifications of calls may be reclassified based on the actual findings of the investigation.
The new 72-hour dispatch log may be accessed via the 72-Hour Dispatch Call Log quick link at https://rockfordil.gov/city-departments/police beginning Monday, August 14, 2017.
