On Monday, August 28, 2017, shortly after 1:30 a.m. patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Evergreen Street in reference to a reported sexual assault. According to the female victim, who was over the age of 18, she was sexually assaulted by the suspect, later identified as 50-year-old Patrick Hall, who she knew. Hall then fled the scene prior to the police arriving. When officers checked the surrounding area they located Hall in the area of Auburn Street and Auburn Court. Hall was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives from the Rockford Police Department conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident. The investigation was then reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result the listed charges were authorized against Hall and he was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.

The charges against Hall are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases Hall is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
