At approximately 11:41 PM Officers of the Rockford Police Department met with a victim at Rockford Memorial Hospital reference to an Attempted Strong Arm Robbery. The victim stated she was walking along the railroad tracks behind the Gyro House in the 2500 blk. of Auburn St. when she was attacked by two white male suspects. The victim stated the suspects knocked her down, punched her in the face, and attempted to take her purse. The victim stated a vehicles headlights illuminated them and the suspects fled from the scene. The victim stated she was able to retain her purse and ran from the area to safety. The victim stated a relative transported her to Rockford Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries suffered in the attack. The victim described the suspects as:
(1) White Male, dark hair, 5’11”, medium build, wearing a red shirt and tan shorts
(2) White Male, curly brown hair, 6’00”, large build, wearing a dark colored shirt and blue jeans.
