The Janesville Police Department would like to remind citizens to remove valuable items from their vehicles when the vehicle is left unoccupied. Suspects will often target large parking lots or parking areas of various events looking for items of value in vehicles that can be easily seen simply by walking by the vehicle and looking in. Suspects may also watch people coming and going to see if they attempt to hide valuable items in the vehicle upon arrival.
If you see any suspicious activity, or are the victim of a vehicle break in, we request that you contact the non-emergency number, (608)757-2244, to report it.
