ROCKFORD, Ill. – On 04/13/2017 shortly after 8pm, members of the Rockford Police SCOPE team were on patrol in the 3800 block of Broadway when they observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Circle K gas station. Officers were familiar with the vehicle as it had fled from them during a traffic stop a few days prior. Officers made contact with the driver, identified as 33 year old Rockford resident Claudell Gulley. Gulley was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. He was also found to be in possession of an undisclosed amount of cash.
He was taken into custody and was charged with the following offenses:
Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine within 1000 feet of a Church
Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin within 1000 feet of a Church
Possession of Cannabis
Possession of Drug Equipment
No Valid Driver’s License
Gulley was transported to the Winnebago county Jail where he was lodged.
This is an open investigation. No further information is available at this time.
The charges against Gulley are merely accusations. He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
