On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, a two month investigation by the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit resulted in the arrest of a Rockford resident on felony drug charges.
Robert E. Crenshaw, age 44 of Rockford, was charged with two counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – (Cocaine) a Class 1 Felony.
On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit arrested Crenshaw on two counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine). The arrest resulted in the seizure of U.S. Currency. Crenshaw remains in the custody of the Boone County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. Each Class 1 Felony is punishable by 4-15 years in the Department of Corrections.
