On Wednesday April 5, 2017 the Boone County Sheriff’s Office arrested a North Boone High School teacher on multiple counts of Criminal Sexual Assault.
Sarah Myers, a 40 year old female, of Garden Prairie was charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Sexual Assault (Class 1 Felony). Myers remains in custody at the Boone County Jail on a $100,000.00 (10%) bond.
The arrest of Myers came after it was reported by North Boone School District #200 Officials that she had allegedly sexually abused a child under the age of 18 years old. North Boone School District #200 Officials have been very helpful in their cooperation and assistance with the investigation.
On Wednesday afternoon, Boone County Sheriff’s Detectives executed a search warrant at residence located in the 6800 block of Clarence St. in Garden Prairie, Illinois. Detectives seized electronic equipment, cell phones and computers.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. A class 1 Felony is punishable by four (4) to fifteen (15) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
