The Loves Park Police Department will conduct Evening and Nighttime Joint Agency Enforcement Patrols in Loves Park, the week of April 24, 2017.
Loves Park Police has zero tolerance for impaired drivers. Therefore, officers working patrols will be watchful for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages and Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
Alcohol and drug impairment is a significant factor in nearly 40 percent of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois. In addition to impaired drivers, officers will be watchful for motorists using the roadways to commit other criminal activity that jeopardizes the safety of citizens using the roadway and of our neighborhoods.
These nighttime patrols are designed to keep our roads and community safe by taking dangerous DUI and other criminal offenders off the road.
