Arrest Made In Recent Numerous Vandalism Cases
On 04-03-17 around 1:00 a.m., the Janesville Police Department received a tip from a citizen regarding the identity of one of the subjects responsible for the damage which led to the arrest of that subject. Further investigation led to the arrest of 2 other subjects responsible for the damage.
As a result of the investigation, 3 teenage males aged 13, 15 and 17
were arrested for 7 counts of Criminal Damage to Property. All subjects were released to their parents.
Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3:6 Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
Between Friday night March 31st and Saturday morning April 1st, numerous vandalisms occurred on Janesville’s northeast side. 10 vehicles had their tires punctured and 3 of the victims had yellow spray paint on their property. The vandals also spray painted the Ice Age Trail bulletin board on Randolph Rd.
