* Timing… snow will overspread northern Illinois late Sunday
evening from west to east and continue into Monday.
* Accumulations… 4 to 7 inches, highest western counties.
* Other impacts… visibilities will be reduced during heavier
snowfall. Plan on difficult driving conditions.

Expect impacts to the Monday morning commute from a storm system that will bring a batch of moderate snow to the region tonight into Monday, continuing for some areas into Tuesday. Expect snow to begin in the Rockford area by mid evening, then spread to the Chicago metro area through the late evening. Expect the highest rates to occur overnight into Monday morning, before snow rates ease through the day. After a lull in snow impacts later Monday into Monday evening, lake effect snow will be possible Monday night into Tuesday in northeast Illinois, and even into Wednesday in northwest Indiana. This will increase snow totals in the red highlighted areas, possibly significantly in some spots if a strong lake band develops
