Expect snow to begin in the Rockford area by mid evening, then spread to the Chicago metro area through the late evening. Expect the highest rates to occur overnight into Monday morning. Snow will taper off during the afternoon, but then lake effect snow will likely ramp up Monday evening near Lake Michigan & continue into Tuesday.

Everybody is under a Winter Weather Advisory across the Rockford area. Generally we are expecting 4-7″ of light fluffy snow, with higher amounts possible to our West. The snow will start late tonight, ending by Monday afternoon.
